Kishtwar, August 19:

The Advisors to Hon'ble Governor,  K. K Sharma and K. Skandan visited districtKishtwar and reviewed stock supply of essential commodities besides developmentscenario of the district here in meeting with concerned district officers.

District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez SinghRana, SSP Kishtwar, Dr.Harmeet Singh Mehta, ADDC Kishtwar,Mohd.Hanief Malik,ACD Kishtwar, ASP Kishtwar, Joint Director Plg, ACR Kishtwar, GM NHPC, GM CVPP,GM Keero,  besides other concerneddistrict officers remained present in the meeting.The Advisors sought thedetailed information pertaining to the availability of the essentialcommodities/services  especially theavailability of food items, ration, medicines, Power and Water supply etc. Thechair expressed their satisfaction over the availability of sufficient stocksupplies in the district.

DDC Kishtwar informed the meet that in Power sectorabout  650 km of conductor and 11000electric poles has been laid down wherein electricity has been provided inalmost all villages including bad pocket areas.He further informed that thereis paucity of manpower to look after the maintainance of electric lines, besides 70-80 posts of lineman are lyingvacant in the district.

Advisors directed to ensure availability of electricity inevery nook and corner of  the district asGovt is commited to provide 100% electricty under Saubhagya Scheme.

GMNHPC was directed to ensure repair/reconstruction  of 08 damaged electric towers of 132 KVbefore falling of snow on war footing basis in order to meet out electricitysupply  during winter season.

Regaring PHE Sector , DDC informed that work of Naigadhwater supply scheme is in fast pace and deadline for completion of the same is15th Sept 2019. Besides 24 schemes stand sanctioned under languishing projectsand requested the chair that the material be provided on priority basis as the tenders have been floated , for thecompletion of the languishing projects within stipulated time frame, whereinthe chair assured that the material supply shall be made to district Kishtwarunder special category.Advisors further asked to prepare a district microplanin convergence under Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture,  Animal Husbandry and UMEED sectors,  so that new avenues shall be made availableto the unemployed youth besided asked the concerned officers and projectauthorities to train local people/ unemployed youth through ITIs at local levelso that they shall be absorbed in all ongoing Power Projects of the district.Furtherdirections were passed to identify/execute atleast one project / scheme inevery village under Back to Village Programme which aims to meet the longpending urgent demand of rural poor.

Under Health sector, the chair assured that the matter withregard to the availability of life saving drugs and other essential medicinesshall be taken up with the concerned quarters.

Under Agriculture sector, the chair directed to lay specialemphasis  over mushroom and cocoonproduction, establishment of vegetables market and cold storage for making thedistrict self reliant.

Further, stress was laid towards speeding up of progressunder digitisation of revenue land records and further directed to expedite theprocess of anti-encroachment drive in district.
